David CrawfordDavid was first admitted as a solicitor in 1988 and initially worked for the New South Wales Director of Public Prosecutions as a solicitor, having prior to admission worked as a Registrar of the Local Court of NSW.

David commenced practice with King Cain Solicitors of Bathurst where he conducted a litigation based practice which grew to be predominantly family law focused. David developed links with a number of support groups within the community including refuges for women and young people.  He also acted on behalf of government departments including the Department of Family & Community Services in the Children’s Court.

In 1995 David moved to Cronulla where he conducted a predominantly family law focused practice and became an Accredited Specialist in that area in 1999. David completed a Masters of Applied Law (Family Law) in 2010.

He is also accredited by the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators as an Arbitrator and Mediator.  In addition, David has undertaken the training and participated in the Collaborative Law process.

David has a broad experience in conducting complex matters in the family law area including those matters involving children, property, maintenance, child support and de-facto relationship matters including cases pursuant to the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (Hague Convention) and he regularly appears in courts exercising jurisdiction in those areas.

As well as specialising in family law, David has experience in criminal law acting in matters ranging from driving offences, apprehended violence and assaults to very serious criminal matters.

In addition, David can assist with Conveyancing, Wills and Estates.
